SCCTC launches CDL training program

Wyoming County Examiner reporter Staci Wilson covers the Susquehanna County Career & Technology Center new CDL training program.

Wilson writes, “Elk Lake/SCCTC Superintendent Dr. Ken Cuomo last Thursday morning described the addition of a CDL training program to its offerings as a “win-win-win” situation that will have a positive impact on students, the community and local businesses.

“Cuomo led the remarks offered as the district, along with elected officials and business leaders, announced the launch of the CDL training facility on the grounds of the Elk Lake campus.

“The superintendent thanked Cabot Oil & Gas, GasSearch Drilling Services, Meshoppen Stone, Diaz Companies and Tioga Environmental for providing the necessary resources to make this happen.

“The companies, in turn, are looking to the program to help lessen the shortage of qualified drivers.”
